It was my very first time being on a train for a long distance journey. It was 34 hours being on a train from Hat Yai to Chiang Mai. It was not my first train ride, but it was the longest.

For me, this 34 hours train ride is not easy. I have to sit all the way from Hat Yai to Chiang Mai. I did not book the sleeper class because I did not expect that this 34 hours train ride will be so so so amazing. Hahaha it was exhausting.

This 34 hours train ride was really exhausting. But I can deal with it. This is all thanks to my best travel mates. They make this ride totally wonderful ride. They know how to enjoy every single moment on the train. And we make it guys.

This wonderful long distance journey started from Hat Yai Junction. We bought the ticket at the station and it takes us about two hours before the train come. You can check the train timetable and fares on www.railway.co.th.

Our tickets showed that our train schedule departed from Hat Yai at 15:39 and arrived to Bangkok at 09:15. But everything was not on schedule. Our train departed from Hat Yai at 20:45 and arrived to Bangkok at 16:15. Hohooo quite long delay.

When we got to Bangkok, we were heading to the ticket locket directly to check the train schedule leaving to Chiang Mai. And we decided to take the express train depart from Bangkok at 22:00 and arrive to Chiang Mai at 12:10. Thanks God that this time everything were on schedule. There was only a slight delay in arrival.

In Bangkok station(Hua Lamphong railway station) we had about 6 hours before leaving to Chiang Mai. We spent our time to charge our energy. We took a shower, prayer, had dinner, charged our camera and mobile phone, took a rest for a moment and did sightseeing around the station.

For your information dear hijab traveler, Hua Lamphong railway station has praying room located at the second floor and shower room at the first floor near stairway.

After six hour with full of energy, we were ready for our next long journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. We were super exited imagining about getting to the beautiful city Chiang Mai soon.

Before leaving for our train ride, actually we prepare everything for our snacking on the train. We brought some snacks, fruits, drinks and everything we need. But i always tempted to buy some mangoes on the train. Thai mango is always my favorite. I was like addicted to it. You have to try the crunchy slices dip in sugar. It was so delicious.

34 hours on the train snacking, joking around, reading, planning, sleeping, listening music, watching video, selfie, sightseeing, taking pictures and much more together with my crazy travel mates made this long distance journey wonderful. It was exhausting, but also amazing.

Chiang Mai is a beautiful city. When we got to Chiang Mai, we feel very happy. We forgot our exhausting long train ride right after we arrive to Chiang Mai railway station. Hahahaaa hope to see you again Chiang Mai. And i hope no more delay schedule for my next trip.
